Very rude and bad communications! Overly Priced! I asked Gus to alter a pair of pants by bringing in the crotch and taper the legs, in addition to shorten the sleeves on two shirts. So, he used chalk and marked up the bottom and crotch area on my pants but did not mark or pin the legs. I asked him why he did not use pins to show me the amount of taper on the legs. He told me that seamtress use pins but tailors do not. I assumed he knew what I wanted because he had altered numerous suits and shirts for me in the past.
On the pickup day, I tried on my pants only to find out that he did taper the legs. I brought it to his attention, but he told me that I did not ask for the legs to be tapered. I insisted that I did when I brought up the use of pins. He got really upset and asked me if I were calling him a liar. I told him it was a misunderstanding. He then told me that I only paid for the crotch/seat. I responded by saying I would pay anything additional. Instead of ending there, he decided to slam his hands on the table and threw the work ticket in the air. He went on to say that he has been in business for over 30 years because he does honest work. I still insisted that it was a misunderstanding. But, he was apparently not satisifed and said that he was Greek and I was whatever (his exact words).
Long story short, he told me to leave in a very rude manner and offered me a discounted price (why offer a discount if your not wrong). He told me there were plenty of tailors out there and he did not want my kind of business. I was in lost of words when I left. Unfortunately it did not end there. The sleeves were shorten correctly but there were numerous small holes that were created by the end of the sleeve. So, suffice to say, do not go to Gus's tailoring services unless you want to be rudely treated. Also, the BBB will hear about this. Cheers.
