Growing up on the East Coast, I was practically raised on soft pretzels. So I was so excited when I heard about Gus'. To my dissapointment though, these are nothing like the soft pretzels I grew up with. The weren't nearly as soft and they went stale within a couple of hours. more

Family owned and famous 3/30/2006

This pretzel shop is well known if you have lived in Saint Louis for awhile, as their pretzels are about the best you can get (yes, they are better than Auntie Anne's and all the others). The store is in South City, so it is really convenient for just about anyone in the area to make a stop at. The pretzels are great tasting, and the staff is friendly. You just get a good feeling when you go here. Definitely have to check it out if you have not already. more

Gus's pretzels are a St. Louis tradition!! Gus's pretzels are so yummy and the trip downtown is worth it! Gus's Pretzels offers traditional twist pretzels, pretzel sticks and for Special Occasions they can make pretzels into numbers or letters!The specialty twist pretzels come in three sizes: 12 inches, 15 inches and 18 inches. Letters and numbers come in two sizes: 15 and 18 inches. It is a Birthday treat to get your age in pretzel!! A yummy treat that is gone quickly! Going to Gus's is always fun, you watch as they make the pretzels!! Then get them hot from the oven! Opened every day but Monday...(listed on their website as the saddest day of the week! LOL) No evening hours! more

Gus's Pretzel shop 8/6/2005

Great place for a snack or for a meal. They have the best fresh pretzels around. There good either hot or cold especially with mustard! The pretzel sandwiches are so good too. They're hot dogs or sausages in the middle of a hot pretzel. These are so good. You can also watch them make the pretzels in the back. Always love stopping here! more
