I have been a regular customer of Gurnee Tire and Brake for years. I first shopped for best value (top quality product and best price) and then dove into online reviews. The reviews were stellar. This latest rash of negative reviews are from confused and frustrated customers because of some 'deal' they bought in which they expected FREE instead of CHEAP. I don't know all the details of it ~ BUT I was there again having work done just last week (darn pot holes!) ... and am 100% pleased with It All ~ personnel, work done, price, timing, convenience, etc. (Yeah, I love hitting the THREE GREAT thrift stores while a job is done ~ they are right there, within a block!) more

I called on 03/03/13 at 11:00 A.M. to get an estimate for 1 tire change. I was put on hold for 10 mins and then hung up on. I called again and spoke to the same person, by the name of Jason. He said “Yeah the guy who can give you that is not here and I’m fit to get off at 3 P.M. I can’t help you”. I wouldn’t put my car in the hands of people who don’t seem to like their job and can’t be polite to people who are making them money.. but that’s just me. more

Stop in for the ""Five Standard Oil Change Special only $79.95"" or "" Five Synthetic Oil Changes for $174.95"" or just stop in for a FREE "" tire rotation"" or ""free brake inspect"". Better yet just stop in for any free inspection and enjoy Fresh Gourmet Coffee on me. more
