Want a flavor of the old time west...stay a romantic night at the Gunn House next to the old Opera Hall in downtown Sonora. Add a live theatre play at SRT and dinner out...and you have the makings of a memorable occasion. The rooms are filled with antiques...everyone different . more

I loved the Gunn Hose - the place is owned by a couple who is there in the morning for breakfast (which is complimentary with your room). The side by the street is louder, but great fun if you like to peoplewatch. Otherwise, ask for a room on the garden side. The rooms are humble, but clean and quaint. No phones either! I'm looking forward to going back there. more
