FANTASTIC DESSERTS, LIVE JAZZ, EXCELLENT BBQ 8/21/2005

My wife and I have been going to Gullifty's for at least ten years, sunce our undergrad days at Pitt. We love the desserts - the key lime pie. We almost always get the key lime pie and another dessert so we can have our favorite and try another. Great desserts. OVER RATED 3/28/2005

For whatever reason, the people in Pittsburgh seem to idealize Gallifty's desserts as being the best. This may be resultant from a lack of dessert venues in the city. After personally trying almost all of them, I can honestly say that they are grossly OVER RATED! The desserts are sub-par and are lacking in flavor. Last year they did have a decent key lime pie. However, they have recently changed their recipe and the new item is less than palatable. My recommendation, stay home and make your own dessert. Friendly service, casual/family atmosphere. The food was good and the servings were huge; the desserts are just magnificent. We spent $40 for two, including beverages, appetizer, two entrees, and two desserts. Pros: Service, Dessert more

I love this place. Everytime I go to Pittsburgh to visit my sister, I make her go there with me. The food is great and so is the service. I have yet to have a better dessert anyother place. If you are in Pittsburgh, you MUST try this place!! Pros: Pricing, Food, Service more
