Because I've done volunteer work @ GCHS in the past, when we finally decided to adopt a pet, we went there. It was a great experience until we got to the
adoption process. We were rejected because on the application, we stated our
intention of keeping the dog outdoors, in
a fenced yard. After some discussion we
agreed to keep the dog in the laundry room, but even that wasn't acceptable. The adoption fee of $150 isn't cheap, but we were prepared to pay, as we know it supports the funding for care of the animals. I understand they want the best
for their animals, but not every dog is best suited for indoor life. What a shame.
