A couple years back, I was in need of a new guitar teacher and uncertain where to go due to the vast amount of teachers proclaiming that they could supplement my needs. However, Dave Meyer, the owner, guitar, and bass teacher at GPS(Guitar Performance Systems) does much more than that. He opens up all kinds of new possibilities as to where you can take the guitar in life. Not only did my guitar playing ability grow, but it helped me to focus more in school and get better grades. Learning guitar theory really challenged me and pushed me to do better each week in order to impress my new favorite guitar teacher Dave, who is now my role model in life. As soon as I started taking lessons with Dave at GPS, I began to see my skills increasing rapidly. In weeks I had learned more than I had in a year with my old guitar teacher. We were flying through the theory book and learning a new song every week. What made me most impressed about Dave, was that he could just sit down, listen to a song that you wanted to learn how to play, and then almost immediately after, he would know how to play it for himself. Moments later he would be teaching you, the student, the song that he may have never even heard before. Over the years of playing guitar and listening to music, Dave has developed a very keen and acute sense of hearing which enables him to figure out songs on the guitar right in front of your eyes, during a lesson. Not only does Guitar Performance Systems offer guitar lessons, but they offer various other instruments such as violin, piano, vocal, drums, bass, etc. Everything that I have heard from other students only leaves positive remarks about the other teachers at GPS. I have never taken any other instrument lessons other than guitar at GPS, but I know of many people who have. My sister is one, who made the switch with myself to a new teacher. Unlike me, she plays the piano and was in need of a new and very experienced teacher. Sandy, an employed piano teacher at GPS was her answer. She is just as professional and helpful as Dave and speaking for my sister, I know she has been extremely satisfied with her development of piano skills since she began taking lessons at GPS. All of the other teachers, including Mike, the drum teacher are very skilled at their instruments and enjoy helping kids become that drummer, guitarist, and pianist that they have always dreamed of becoming. Not only does Guitar Performance Systems offer musical lessons, but they have a store right inside the building offering guitars, basses, accessories, and musical necessities for musicians. Dave Meyer is a certified Fender dealer and has tons of guitars and basses that are on sale for prices you can't beat anywhere else. I have bought two guitars from Dave and I have been so pleased with the quality of the guitars over time. Along with picks, strings, foot pedals, capos, and other musical accessories, the items sold inside of Guitar Performance Systems are the uttermost best quality on the market today. Add to the fact the prime and easily accessible location, and there is no reason why you shouldn't stop in GPS and find out all of the things it can offer for you. Dave Meyer has a real musical gift and uses it to help kids learn to play the guitar, an instrument that he has loved over the years and grown to show others the impact it can have in people's lives. Overall I would give Guitar Performance Systems the highest rating on any scale. If you are in the decision making process of finding a musical teacher, I would stop right now and check into GPS before anywhere else. I know you won't be disappointed with GPS, and I wouldn't recommend another place for musical lessons besides it. Guitar Performance Systems has been helping people learn instruments that they have always dreamed of learning for years, and I know that the team at GPS will continue to do so with you.
