After my disappoinment with the Esteban Guitar ( Read Review http://www.judysbook.com/members/36674/posts/2006/12/498342/ ) and shopping trip to Interstate Music (Read that review here http://www.judysbook.com/members/36674/posts/2006/12/498352/ ) our little onterage continued onto the Guitar Center. The first thing I noticed about The Guitar Center was its huge selection of Electric Guitars, every color and design imaginable they must have it all! We found our way to the acoustic section and found an array of inexpensive to high end new and used guitars. We awed at the $1,000 guitars and touched those we could afford. Since my niece and I both were searching for new guitars we were picking up and putting back lots of choices. I finally spotted a green guitar in the back of a bunch of other guitars, it was a used Washburn D10 for $149.00. I sat down to pick the strings and I knew I had found my guitar! It was a perfect fit and the sound had a nice deep warm tone. My sister insisted that she had seen the same guitar online at Musician's Friend dot com so I hesitated about buying the guitar, but I went for it. I'll have to go online today and see if I got a good deal. The employee that helped us was Dan, a tall, lanky character who was great help. He made our shopping fun and informative. He told me I have thirty days to find a better deal and/or return the guitar. (Dan, I will certainly be holding you to that!) I will return again to the Guitar Center they had great prices and selection on guitars, strings, picks, and everything else a musician might need. The only thing I was dissappointed in was their selection of guitar cases.
