Best

Such a great place for musicians that know what they want or even beginners deciding on their first instrument. The people there really want to help and their classifieds wall is...

Worst

I know they have a great selection but there is something about htis place that I do not trust. I went in for a few nick-nacks to support my guitar habit and found myself put-off...

Ok. 9/3/2011

I get all my music gear from here but last time i had an unpleasent experience, I went and placed an order, I spent about $1000 cash in a way you can say I'm a freequent buyer i paid cash cus I missed place my ID so when I went back to the store to pick up what I had order they asked me for my ID. or else they were not going to give me the order. Please you guys see me here often and even the guy that always helps me told the manager that he know me but that didnt work. I had to wait 3 weeks to get my order. They should be more flexible. more

Guitar Center=Good, Employees=Bad 11/17/2009

I love Guitar Center! But the people who work here don't seem to know much about their products. I was looking for studio monitors and no one could help me. The staff was kinda rude to me when i asked for help and I felt like they were getting annoyed by me. It is still a great store, but they just need to discipline their employees! (or hire new ones). more

Disclosure Issues 6/12/2009

Guitar center does not think they should disclose to beginning gitar customers that the strings may be to high from the frets and that the customer will have to pay an addtional, expensive cost to repair the strings. SO if you think you are getting a good price for a guitar, think again, you may need additional repairs that will cost more than you think, they should disclose to beginner guitar shoppers that the neck should be comfortable and the strings should be easy to play, closer to the fret is easier than the strings being far from the frets, it puts pressure on your fingers to hold the cords you wish to play. Cons: Not good for beginner guitar customers more

Guitar Center 7/28/2005

Such a great place for musicians that know what they want or even beginners deciding on their first instrument. The people there really want to help and their classifieds wall is great for looking for lessons or band members. PROS: Great staff, variety of instruments, endless resource CONS: parking is questionable more

Huge Music Store 4/25/2005

First off, Guitar Center is a huge music store. You can find more than just guitars. There are sections devoted to Percussion, Guitars, Keyboards, Sound equipment, and everything else I'm leaving out. The selection is pretty good and the prices are fairly competitive with online retailers. There isn't too big a selection of sheet music; mostly popular stuff. My only gripe is with the customer service. Unless you are a cute girl, the guys working here don't really care to help you. I've witnessed this many times and have had to deal with impatient and bored workers who didn't help me at all. Go here to get the stuff you need and that's it. Also, parking sucks big time. more

This store's got everything! Very friendly 4/13/2005

I wanted to get home recording studio equipments and this store helped me to get the ideas to get started. I didn't get all equipments from them since it's cheaper if I order online, but the help I got from their sales was awesome. They showed me their recording room with lots of hardware and software, midi keyboards and stuff and the guy just did a real time show for me and that got me into getting the gear i got. i'm very satisfied! the number 1 resource in music related stuff more

Used Car salesmanship 6/2/2002

I know they have a great selection but there is something about htis place that I do not trust. I went in for a few nick-nacks to support my guitar habit and found myself put-off by the sales staff, and shocked at the cost of all of these little tid-bits. Pros: Selection, Volume Cons: Parking, Service Staff, Price more
