After being disppointed time and time again from hair salons, I came upon The Guest House-A Studio For Hair. I was so impressed with the decor and the overall warm feeling from the Salon. I have unruly crazy curly hair and I FINALLY found a place who can do wonders to it. I scheduled and appointment with the owner, Scott and he taught me how to take care of my hair and also made me look like I've never looked before. Everyone at work always compliments my color and cut from Scott's salon. I admire Scott and the other stylists' work and I feel extremely comfortable with their care. They attend to you and listen to what you want and truly care for their clients which is something I have never felt before in a hair salon. Pros: Ambience, Parking and Service more

Anyone can go to a salon and get a cut and color and that's exactly what it is, a cut and a color. Herd 'em in and move 'em out! I deserved better but had a hard time finding the right place. One night I happened to be watching the Style Network and a show called ""How Do I Look"". It's a makeover style program and Scott, the owner of The Guest House - A Studio For Hair was the stylist on the show. He did an amazing job on a young girl who was participating in the show. The color and cut he did looked awesome! So I decided to make an appointent and see if Scott could work his magic on me! When I arrived the first thing I noticed was the decor in the shop. It wasn't like a conventional salon. There were couches to sit on and a chandelier on the ceiling. Coffee, tea, wine, chocolates, it was like I was visiting someone's home. It was amazing and no one had even touched me yet! Scott and his stylists were very personable and had great senses of humor. They made me feel very comfortable. Now it was my turn and Scott went right to work. Pros: Lot's of parking. Great staff. Very affordable. more

As someone who has been to the trendy salons only to feel bullied into a style or left swooning with an ""if you have to ask, you can't afford it"" bill, I am thrilled to have The Guest House. The comfy vibe and jovial stylists make you feel at home, and the boutique sized space ensures that you are well cared for. No more feeling like a number! I've been seeing Dene for years now, and she is amazing. She listens to my input, and yet also offers me suggestions that I never would have thought of (and always turn out looking phenomenal). True Story: I literally was crossing the street after an appointment with her and a stranger at the light gushed, ""your hair is gorgeous!"" But the best part is her integrity. On a few occasions I've come with ideas that Dene has steered me away from because they were unnecessary, and found solutions that saved my hair wear-and-tear and saved me money! I never question her motivation, because my experience has shown me how totally committed she is to what makes her clients look and feel their best.
