I got a gift card with transferred prescription - $20 for store merchandise. I only spent part of it initially. When I came back, it had been long enough that I needed to know the card balance. The pharmacist took the card into his ""cage"" (The whole shop is a cage, between the locked door and the barred half of the room.) I waited 15 minutes in vain, with CNN blaring on the TV, while he was on the phone and doing other things (basically ignoring me as I got more and more anxious), then finally left without my card. After I left voicemail, I got a call back with my balance. BUT.... when I went into the shop (making a special trip) to retrieve and spend my card, I was told that it had ""expired."" When I protested that there was no expiration date on it, I was told that I couldn't use it, because I had transferred my prescription out. That was bogus, but I wouldn't have been so upset if I hadn't made a trip in vain. What a rip-off, in a store with a lot of religious sayings on plaques. MOST unpleasant place to shop as well (loud TV and cage - more like a bail bondsman's office than a pharmacy.) Never again!
