After moving into a premium victorian apt. in Eureka, we were thrilled that the beautiful yard, which had previously been nurtured by an on-site caretaker, would be visited bi-monthly by Grounds Keeper.
However, after a month of our stay, we noticed that we had not seen any work on the garden and the grass was getting beyond unkempt. We contacted our property managers and they gave us the number of the gardeners. I called and explained that we had not seen anyone in a month, when we should have had 2-3 visits. The owner claimed that it had been ""raining"" too much (a constant in Humboldt county) and that in lieu trees and bushes that *do not exist* in the yard had been trimmed. When I informed her, for example, that we did not have a camelia on the property, nor a holly tree, she became extremely belligerent, saying that I was accusing her of lying. While I was challenging her assertions, I had no interest in having an argument. I only wanted the grass to be mowed.
I contacted the owner (it was clear to me at that time that the owner was somehow related to the Property Managers) and their services were let go. An awful, horrendous experience out of something that should, in all regards, be beautiful and relaxing.
Avoid this landscaping service at all cost.
