I've taken my cat to Dr. Gross on two occasions, and his practice is unlike anything I have ever seen. He doesn't take appointments. You just show up during his office hours with your pet (I would always go on Saturday afternoons.). On both occasions, I only waited a few minutes, and he was very inexpensive. I think I only paid $30. The first time I went there he even chatted with my husband and me for 30 mintues or so about the history of Pittsburgh and his service as a vet during WWII. Dr. Gross is rather old, thus the old fashioned no appointment system, but I figure anyone who has been a vet for that long must be good.
