The only downside is that they have to use paper and plastic plates, cups, and cutlery, because anything that re-enters the kitchen has to be re-kosherized again, so washing dishes that leave the kitchen would be a huge and very time-consuming process. I recommend the Mexicali wrap (with cheese, if you're not vegan) - it comes with black bean spread, rice, and avocado - but their daily pasta and panini specials are always wonderful as well. Not Bad, but Not Great 7/1/2004

going in with high expectations, i was visiting from Louisville, and talked my friend from Nashville into going,tearing him away from his regular places. I thought the food was great, I had a curried tofu wrap, my friend though his pizza pannini was ""so-so"". The massive cookie was also awesome and I really thought the food was good. My only issue was that I had enough paper and plastic by the time it was over to fill a small land-fill. It would be so much better if they used dishes, all that plastic and paper feels so wasteful and impersonal, just buy some dishes and get a kid to wash dishes, it would be a much nicer place then :) Pros: good food, good people Cons: , plastic & paper, a tad pricey more

Tasty Delights 2/3/2003

Parking for this kosher deli counter is pretty tight, but that keeps the line pretty short. I'm glad I work within walking distance so I don't have to deal with it. The menu changes daily and everything I've tried is very tasty. The kosher treats all have rather unique flavors. Today I had a toasted Mediterranean Wrap with a side of Spinach Slaw. Both were great. A sandwich and side with a drink will set you back about $10. Not the best value, but the food makes you forget about the cost. Pros: vegetarian, kosher, rarely crowded Cons: bad parking, pricey for lunch more

Only Veggie in Nashville 11/1/2002

This was some of the best veggie food I've had in five years of eating veggie, the cold sweet potato salad had perfect tangy mix of spices, the pumpkin couscous was unlike anything I've ever had, wraps are generously stuffed with curried creamy tofu and veggies, best vegan cookies, or any vegan dessert, that I've ever had, the restrooms are immaculate, the space is comfortable, there's a piano, the folks who work there are friendly, and it's well worth the short 1-block walk through the Vanderbilt campus from the Borders where we parked. Pros: good adventurous, vegan cookies :o), immaculate Cons: parking,nice walk tho more

The Grin Scene 9/26/2002

Hooray, a 100% vegetarian eatery in Nashville! Yes, it would be nice if it was something more than a simple lunch counter, but I'll take what I can get. I've been there twice, and the food was great each time, if a bit pricey. The modest seating area, although a little institutional, is open and sunny. more
