My favorite place in town! 8/30/2009

I've been here for breakfasts with my mother, lunches by myself while hanging out downtown, and for dinner with a foodie that I wanted to impress (and he was!). The menu is accomodating for any style or palate, really. Pros: quality food served in original ways, and a great ambience Cons: limited parking close-by more

A Tucson gem 2/26/2008

I was a regular at Grill for years during college, and now that I've moved away to go to med school in Chicago, it's one of things I miss the most. Grill has an attitude about it, most apparent on the back of the menu, that I find fun and charming. The wait-staff work their asses off to ensure that you get great service with character (I'll let you interpret that when you go), and the piles of high-quality, delicious food for cheap will leave you satisfied. This of course is not to mention the ambiance of the place (it looks like it was transported straight out of the fifties, which I'm sure, much of it was!), and the live music in the Red room. I moved just after the smoking ban started in Tucson, and although it's not quite the same without it, Grill is still fantastic. They also make a pretty stiff drink if that's what you need! Highly recommended. If you're ever in Tucson, check out the bars on 4th ave., and then mosey on over to the grill around 12...you won't be disappointed . Pros: Ambience, service, value, and downright character make this place great Cons: Can get really, really crowded with drunk people around 2:30 am more

Freakin' Awesome Tortilini 1/31/2008

I LOVE GRILL!!! And the Freakin' Awesome Tortilini is FREAKIN' AWESOME!!! I'm not gonna lie, the place is a little run down, a little dirty, and the service is a little... bad? But don't let that deter you if you like unique, groovy places with really, really good food! Pros: Great food, fun atmosphere Cons: Might be too ""dirty"" or ""unfriendly"" for some people more

Great atmosphere but not so great food or service 2/23/2007

I think the best thing about the Grill is that they give local musicians the opportunity to perform in their Red room. It's also nice and cozy in there. The Grill has an overall fun and unique atmosphere. So if I was writing a review strictly on the atmosphere- I'd give the Grill a 9. But I am writing a review on the food and service. more

24 hour diner very handy for partying downtown 6/10/2006

better to arrive a little before 2am on the weekends than a little after 2am, when everyone who has been kicked out of the bars is looking for somewhere else to go. Pros: Open later than you think Cons: occaisionally a bug strolls through more

Grill is the best restaurant ever! 9/25/2005

I had an excellent time at Grill. The service was prompt, the food was incredible and the staff was extremely entertaining (to say the least). I would strongly recommend stopping in anytime you are around downtown Tucson. more

Talk about GOOD FOOD 11/14/2002

This is one of the best casual dining cafes in Tucson. If you want to see a blues/jazz infusion band play just stop by any Friday or Saturday night. The food is amazing...try the country fried steak or if you're a vegetarian have one of the great salads. The atmosphere will throw you back to the 50's and the service is absolutely amazing. Be sure to sit in the Red Room for the best service. Pros: Value/Taste ratio A+, Large portions, Amazing ambience Cons: Busy/Service declines more
