Greyhound Bus Lines

I love Greyhound, mostly because I've been lucky catching them and reloading onto the right one. I think they oversell tickets for the buses, sometimes when I'm in line and there's like 30 people behind me and they only let 5 more on, I feel like something is shady, but I've always gotten where I needed to go. And I mean from state-to-state travel, not really City transportation. more

Greyhound busses are cheap and efficient. I got to New York for less than Chinatown busses and in a quicker time. The terminal isn't great, but that's ok cause if you show up on time the bus is almost always there. It's clean enough to eat in and you won't feel all grossed out. Go Greyhound! more

I have used greyhound many times over the years. There was only one time when my trip went all up in smoke! I was going to visit a friend. I used greyhound because the prices are fantastic. Well, my bus had one connection for the whole trip. All the passengers were dropped of in Wilmington Delaware and the next bus to take is to Maryland was to arrive shortly thereafter. Well lets just say I ended up waiting for over an hour! (I know there are special circumstances that occur and sometimes it is non ones fault. However I think that the passengers should have been informed about the delay and we should have been offered a discount for another trip. )There was also a lot of traffic on the rest of the wasy to Maryland so our trip was delayed even more. I really believe that whole situation cast a black shadow over the whole trip. I was very tired and irritated the whole weekend I was in the company of my friend. Now that is the only time greyhound has let me down during my other trips I have had great success. I do believe that they are pretty much a good company. more

This greyhound is trouble. I've met one manager who was intelligent enough for their job, but everyone else here is probably just gathered up from the streets. First of all, plan to arrive at your destination one hour later than what was advertised... In the last month I've had two occasions where the drivers did not know where in the destination city the greyhound bus station was! I have no other means of semi-affordable travel therefore I have to use their service frequently. In my travels, I've been directed to wrong buses by the clerks and insulted by the ticket officers on different occasions. Apart from waiting a whole minute between taking my information and not listening to what I'm saying, yesterday when I asked them about what times are available for travel, the clerk at the ticket office replied "I don't know". Yeah, avoid greyhound if you can... more
