My original review (8/25/06) was deleted by accident. Synopsis: Was highly recommended by friends.Brought in a slow-moving, pop-up ridden computer. Was quoted $75.00 to diagnose and remove viruses/malware/spyware. Was told the viruses, etc were removed but there were problems with my OS and repairs were recommended. I said I'd look at their recommendations, to not do the repairs (estimate of $780.00). I was told it was ready for pickup. The computer is not assembled, had to wait while it was put together. At home, computer would not boot(no prob before). Could not contact them as it was a holiday weekend. Friend of a friend looked at it and found that the hard drive was disconnected, floppy was misaligned and was being held on by one screw and there were viruses still viable. He repaired everything for $40.00. GW would not refund me $40.00 and blew off my complaints of shoddy work and ""bait and switch"". 8/13/08 BigK2 mentions scruzan69 as the ""manager"" that I talked about. I did not mention any manager in my review. My correspondence was with the owner, Michael Gardner. Update: I had complained to the Aptos Chamber of Commerce, and the county DA with no results. Perhaps this ""disgruntled"" employee was the person who intercepted and replied to my second ""final notice"" letter and forged Michael Gardner's signature on the reply letter while intercepting and disposing of my first letter. This still does not explain the sloppy technical work, the disabling of my computer, and the outrageous repair estimate. I believe that I am still entitled to a $40.00 refund (notice that I am not nor ever had insisted on being reimbursed the original $75.00).
Pros: parking, location
Cons: be careful of rip-off schemes
