My husband and I booked this place about 4 days before our stay in August. It was a miracle that it was open. This is a beautiful, big place with 2 guest rooms upstairs and the caretaker and her family live downstairs. The caretaker (I can't remember her name!) was a kind and very friendly woman. Our room was breathtaking. It was huge with decor straight out of the early 20th century, a large fancy bathroom, a sitting area, lots of windows and a big 4 poster bed. Breakfast was served the next morning on a tray which the caretaker left just outside our room. It was delicious with homade zucchini bread, and homemade danishes, fresh Bayfield berries, coffee, milk, juice and cereal. Yummy! We also enjoyed the huge wrap-around front porch where we sat and read and just enjoyed the afternoon. We will definitly be booking this place again the next time we're in Bayfield.
Pros: Great decor, friendly service, good breakfast
Cons: Nada
