Dr Bier is the best. She listens. She takes the time to really ask questions and doesn't have a pat answer for everything. I wouldn't go to anyone else. She's GREAT! I live in Vancouver, WA and drive all the way out to Troutdale, OR to see her. more

I am no stranger to the hospital or doctors office, and the level of professional care and service I have come to enjoy at GTFMC is unmatched by any comparable organization, and is consistent. Dr Knopf is quick with the script I will agree, but he is very open minded and really listens to me. The good doctor is very thorough, attentive and efficient. His bedside manner lends itself to a comfortable visit each time I've seen him over the last 20 years. There was a time when you had to wait too long for a visit, but the center has experienced change and growth. Although Dr Knopf had been spread too thin for a while, I was always able to see an associate doctor and did so more than once, at which appointments ended with my total satisfaction. I feel that I have received care and treatment from Dr Knopf, for depression, that is far superior to the care and treatment I had previously received from specialists like psychiatrists, psychologists and the like. Dr. Knopf treats the whole person. He recognizes the factors that make us healthy: body, mind AND spirit. I am glad he is forthright of his faith. Not sure why the reviewer stated their doubts as to Dr. Knopf being open about this... It's an ADVENTIST clinic. I find it a breath of fresh air that the Adventist medical facilities make no apologies for their faith. I also noticed he was quick to prescribe but also understood if I wanted to be more conservative about taking prescribed meds. He supported alternative methods and was excellent at follow up. He cares a great deal. I moved an hour away and still have him as my doctor. I'd travel 2 hours or more to keep going to him. He's very informative and helps you understand what is going on in your body. He is by far the BEST doctor I've ever had or even heard of! Pros: Timeliness, professionalism, caring, compassionate Cons: Availability - sometimes hard to get him - but worth the wait! more

Dr. Knopf is very conscientious, caring and takes the time to really diagnose and treat his patients. He might be too quick to prescribe medication for ""every ill"" as another reviewer stated, but he has always been willing to discuss alternatives with me. Dr. Knopf is especially good with patients experiencing depression and anxiety.\r \r Not the best clinic to take your kids, a pediatric clinic that specializes in children might be a better place.\r \r Usually on time. more

Good doctor. Very empathetic and caring. Well informed. Does not talk down to you or have a paternalistic attitude. Relies too heavily on giving you meds for every ill. A little too religious (not sure if it is professionally appropriate for a doctor treating the general public to espouse religious beliefs). more
