Grekin Skin Institute

I found Grekin Skin Institute via Oakwood Hospital's physician referral website. I made an an appointment for my husband; his first visit. We arrived early for his 8:30 a.m. appointment, and within 5 (five!) minutes, the lobby was filled to capacity with people waiting. We don't know how they run the clinic, but 8:30 a.m. came and went, and my husband wasn't called into an exam room. BUT, a bunch of other people were called in ahead of us, easily ten people before us--all of them arrived AFTER we did. Why were so many people given early appointments, (or the same time?) After my husband and I were in an exam room, Dr. Grekin came in, said 'Hello' but didn't introduce himself. He looked at what my husband was concerned about, took five seconds to tell him what it was, (nothing major) and walked out of the room! No 'nice to meet you' or 'goodbye'! His assistant said goodbye instead. We thought the whole encounter was abrupt and rather rude. My husband felt he was sort of brushed aside. He was told to make a follow-up appointment (why?). We got a bill for over $100. My husband will not go back. We wished we'd selected a different dermatologist. more

First off, Kim is NOT a doctor. She's the poor sap who Grekin hired to sell his stuff, because he just NEEDS so much money! The products they sell you can find online, cheaper. He yells at his staff when they aren't pushing his products, I overheard this in the office one day. Go to a real day spa, not a department in a dermatologists office that he uses to make more money. Not worth the money! more

The doctor i see is named Kim. She is extremely caring.I can tell she wants to help me and she has done so much for me in such a short time.She is also gorgeous.Call an make an appointment today for a free consultation.Ask for kim... Not worth your time. I called on a Thursday and they gave us a Monday appointment. Even though she got their on time my daughter waited 1,5 hours. When the waiting room cleared out they then said she wasn`t in the system. When she finally saw the Dr. he gave her about 6 minutes of his time, gave her a few samples and a prescription and told her she needed to find a Dr. in California where she was moving in a month for college. I called to find out why she was not given an antibiotic and got the feeling from talking to the Dr. that since she wasn´t going to be a continuous source of income she wasn´t worth their time. When I asked about a referal in California I was told BY THE DR. that they weren´t a referal service. I was VERY disappointed with the Grekin Skin Institute. \r Pros: Looked and sounded great Cons: Don´t seem to be very organized or care much more
