My Father in Law Had a stroke at home 2 weeks ago, he was med-flighted to wichita,Ks. Stoke unit in St. francis Hospital. After 10 days we found out he is 1/3 brain dead, semi coma and will never change. After a truly hard decision was made by family we choose Greenbrier Hospice In Enid,ok. So as for him to be close to home family and friends. Its 160 miles From home To witchia, & only 45 miles to Enid. We was told they would except him, and we even found ems transport that would be available to us. Over the wknd. We decided to have feeding tube pulled as we did all neccesssary paperwork to get him to Greenbrier, they said they had bed available for him and caseworker said he would be transported On mon., its now wed. & feeding tube has been out 4 days. Recieved call from Caseworker that they reviewed his case and dont have room for him, To which She wasnt understanding this either why they waited So long to give us this information so as to make other arrangements. Now our Father in law will spend his last days in Hospice care at the hospital in witchita. We ARE TRULY SADDENED BY THESE TURN OF EVENTS BECAUSE GREENBRIER""S COMMUNICATION LED US TO BELIEVE DIFFERENT. PLEASE BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY AND GET ALL INFORMATION UPFRONT BEFORE ANY OTHER FAMILY""S GO THROUGH THINGS LIKE THIS. HUMAN LIVES DESERVE BETTER!!! KRISSY PEARCE KOEHN
