Greenbriar Animal Hospital

I've had my terrier in to see both Doctors a number of times and wouldn't go anywhere else. They always take the time to answer all questions and also make recommendations as to the ""best"" way to handle a situation. For example, I recently brought in my dog due to a few digestive problems (both ends). Instead of the laundry list of tests that could have been performed, the Dr. suggested a lighter diet and wait and see for a few days after a thorough checkup. He also suggested waiting until the digestive issues were gone before getting shots that were due. After a few days the problems lessened but were sporadic. After the visit, I made more than one call to ask more questions and was never charged. After 3 weeks all was well. I came back for the regular shots that had been due when I had my first appointment and was only charged a small follow up fee although they could have easily charged more. The Doctor explained all available options when I first arrived and I'm sure would have done any tests I requested. Also very nice staff. Thumbs up for Greenbriar. more

The best vet clinic out there! I've taken my animals there for 12 years and have never been disappointed! Both Dr. Oglesby and Dr. Goricki are very knowledgable and caring. They are conservative in their approach to animal care, keeping in mind the cost for the owner. When my dog became critically I'll last fall, they jumped into action! During her two week stay, both vets came in the middle of the night to check on her to make sure she wasn't in distress or dying! In all my years of pet ownership, I have never been to a more caring, personable knowledgeable clinic. This also applies to the vet techs! I will never go anywhere else! more

A casual acquaintance recommended Dr. Constanze Goricki at Greenbriar Animal Hospital to care for my cats; after having been to MANY vets in Jax area without finding one to my liking, I wasn't optimistic. Last week, one of my kitties became very acutely ill after a long period of senescent decline. I thought of Dr. Goricki and called Greenbriar. They had an appointment for me within a half-hour and took us in very promptly when we arrived. The staff was wonderful and caring. Dr. Goricki is VERY knowledgeable, layed out all potential treatment options, and offered guidance only when asked. Although there was potential for the animal hospital to make a LOT of money off me (desperate kitty mom), Dr. Goricki said,""Maybe it would be kinder not to put the kitty through all that."" Dr. Goricki ended up helping me put my little guy out of his misery. I was very grateful to have wise and gentle assistance at my time of greatest need. I have made an appointment for one of my other cats for medical treatment with Dr. Goricki, and I feel confident she will receive the best of care. Run, don't walk, to this awesome animal hospital! more

We've tried other places and my dog prefers Greenbriar. He's a beagle and kind of high strung. They do something here to make him happy. We've tried Switzerland Animal Hospital and Julington Creek Animal Walk. When he stays here he recovers faster from his separation from us. more

On saving Ceasar the cat There are not enough words to descibe the care that he recieved from Doctors and staff to bring him back from the brink of death. His bones are no longer sticking out and he is now able to eat 3-5 times a day. He is now self-centered, egotistial, bossy, pushy and everything a cat is supposed to be. He gives much love, on his own term, and has claimed one half of the house for himself. He lets me own our 4 dogs while he owns me. \r Nothing was done without my permission and my understanding the cost and what I could expect from anything that was done to help him. My sister in-law recomended Greenbriar when her brother and I moved into the area. She told me that you will absolutly love these people, and she was right. I have only witnessed care, compasion, and joy out of the entire staff. I have 6 rescue kitties and they take the best care of all of them. I wouldn't take them anywhere else. I tortally trust the fine people working there. Pros: They are the best, and most caring I've seen at any vets office. more

I brought my guinea pig in because another vet told me it would be between 500 and 700 dollars to remove a tumor on him and he might have cancer. My husband brought him to the Greenbriar and was going to put him down, and the Vet there disagreed with the diagnosis and asked if he could keep him for a few days and keep an eye on him. Well the tumor fell off during his stay their and it was NOT cancerous ! He did not charge us a dime and even offered to adopt him if we did not want him back!!! more

This was my first visit to Greenbriar which was on an emergency for my cat who had dislocated her front leg. I called and was taken in immediately and treated absolutely wonderful. Everyone was so kind and professional. I now have a vet for my cat without a doubt. I feel their prices were very fair, especially for an emergency visit to someone they had never seen. Unlike some, they DID NOT try to sell me unnecessary services. I plan on being a permanent client and would recommend them very highly. more

I was very unhappy with the service. They perform tests that you don't ask for or agree to and then they expect you to pay for it. They are also not very happy to see your pets. It is very unfortunate they don't get excited to see the animals. Everyone there seems burnt out. Time to retire! more
