Japanese Maple Estimate 8/29/2013

Green Options Tree Care came out and gave me an estimate for trimming my Japanese Maple which attracted me to buying my home six years ago. They will come out when the weather is appropriate and do the job for me. I am looking forward to having the tree restored to its original beauty. more

Honest!! 8/28/2013

Had Green Options come look at a job we needed done. The estimator told us they were the wrong company for the job, they'd have to charge 3 times what another company would, and told us how to look up the other company. We wanted trees chopped down, which is not the Green Options specialty. We appreciate his candid response, and will call G.O. if we need help with our other trees. more

Only guys you'll ever need for your trees 8/28/2013

James showed up right on time for our scheduled estimate appointment. He was a consummate professional and a great salesman. He even managed to identify the species of one of the trees we wanted pruned after it had even stumped our previous landscaper. Eric and Morgan showed up promptly about a week later and took care of everything in about 3 hours. Looks great! more

Long term partners! 5/30/2013

I have a large and diverse number of trees on a stream easement. Valuable large Japanese Maple that were improperly pruned for years and almost killed. They look beautiful this year! Eric, Eric and Morgan have worked over the course of several months to bring them, and other trees, back to full health and beauty. I am on the monthly plan and highly recommend this company! Everyone is skilled and are great communicators as well! more

Tree removal 5/29/2013

This was our second time for this company. Last year was for general tree maintenance. This year was to remove a specific tree with problems. Prompt service, highly professional, friendly people and neat clean up. I highly recommend this company. more

Tree removal 5/14/13; ongoing tree care 5/14/2013

Our beautiful Parrotia persica (Ironwood tree) had grown too tall and big. Eric's team very efficiently cut it down and cut up a few big stem pieces for future firewood; shredded the branches; ground out the stump; and planted a new tree...all in 2-1/2 hours! Nearby plantings weren’t damaged, and the area was cleaned up nicely. So glad I didn’t need another company to remove the stump. They've also treated our ailing huge cherry tree regularly for 2+ years. Highly recommended! Thanks! more

Tree trimming 5/6/2013

We have two 35 year old cherry trees about 80 feet high that have canvassed over two smaller plumb trees and approx. 15 to 20 % of the lawn, limiting the growth of the plumbs and preventing sunlight to the lawn area. Eric and Morgan topped the plumbs and removed 4 or 5 large cherry branches which allowed vertical growth to the plumbs and sunlight to the previously shaded lawn. more

Mature Tree Care 4/16/2013

We had an 80+ year old maple with a split in one of the main stems that needed to be removed (without damaging our new fence or plants) ... a tricky situation. Eric & Morgan were great; there was zero damage to the surrounding area, they cut up the large stem into pieces so we could move them easier and cleaned up so you wouldn't even know they'd been there. Will call them again if needed. more

Trees are wonderfully pruned... 12/11/2012

Green Options Tree Care pruned several fruit trees that had been neglected for years (by the previous owner). In the last two years since pruning began, our plum and apple trees are producing way more fruit, and look great! They also warned us that one of our plum trees is nearing the end of its life, and that we should think about taking it down before it falls. Good to know. more

Exceptional Service & Work 12/4/2012

Talked to Chris about removing a fir tree and thinning others this summer. Also about trimming back a fig tree. We were unable to do it this summer but plan on doing the work on the firs this next spring. They just came to do the fig tree. Not only did they do a professional job on the tree they left our whole front yard much nicer than before. We are very impressed with their knowledge, workmanship and friendliness. more

Great first impression 9/8/2012

Chris took the time to help us make good decisions about taking care of several trees. He was thorough and thoughtful in sharing a continuum of options to help us make the decisions, not him. The biggest selling point for us to move ahead was Chris and the company's attention to care of the plants, expert procedures and attention to the environment throughout. We will review again when our trees are cared for and in better "shape". Thanks to Chris and impressive professionalism. more

Cooperative Relationship 8/22/2012

It quickly became clear that a partnership has begun in which we will restore the damage done to my really beautiful trees by past owners and their low bid work. I have contracted with them for the Green Options and agree with the first 4 reviews completely. Have had no problems whatsoever, and expect that in the long run our investment will more than pay off. I've seen the results of lower bid work....killed several lovely expensive trees and weakened every other tree in my yard. more

James was extremely knowledgeable. Both my husband and I felt we got an education just from the estimate. We haven't decided whether to go with Green Tree Options only because their costs are so much higher than others; however, it sounds like their knowledge and commitment to organic tree care could be worth it. more
