For starters, I did NOT have a vehicle towed by this company. However, I had a very unpleasant experience with the representative I spoke with earlier this week. I called in to ask questions about the towing policy and/or agreement between my apartment complex's management and the towing company. There appeared to be a discrepancy that left a few of my neighbors and I confused. After sharing a bit of a conflict between representative who stated that his name was "Mike", he became very belligerent and condescending. At one point he stated, "if I get fired, who's gonna hire me. Are you"? My response was that "I'm not an employer. If I were, your behavior would not prompt me to feel inclined to hire you." I immediately felt insulting and asked for his last name, agent # to manager's name. He would not provide any of that information to me. He suggested that I, "call tomorrow and ask who was working last night". Completely unprofessional to use profanity towards a patron. He hung up on me as well. Extremely unacceptable behavior from a representative. I do question whether he truly represents the company or if this was a case of them hiring an under-qualified unprofessional individual. more

Anyone who gets towed for parking irresponsibly is understandibly upset. These tows are contracted out and half the time called in by your association and are monitored by the Illinois Commerce Commission Police. Every association and the ICC has its own rules that the tow company must abide by at risk of losing their contract license. So being angry at the tow company is being uninformed. If you and your friend were that upset and actually had any grounds to "sue" as you put it you would have actually done your homework and any tow company would have been investigated if they wronged you. Now to the gentleman that waited to long for a release. Lets go to the source, if the car wasn't in a position to be towed you wouldnt have had to wait for the driver to come release the car. As for his demeanor when you asked for help, sure that leaves something to be desired. Finally for the person who thought that $75 for 3 blocks was too much. Towing is a business, not a charity event. I am sure the $75 was a hook up fee with no mileage which would be common practice in the towing industry for a tow that short. Call around next time and the guy that tows it for $50 flat is going to tow it incorrectly and tear up your car. more

My friend and I went to pick up his car and had to wait an hour and a half for the tow truck driver to arrive to release his car. When he did arrive, the young driver seemed annoyed that he had to be there. My friend had to pay over $200 to get his car back. When he finally did release it, there was a minor issue with his car that made it undriveable (which wasn't the fault of Green Machine towing) so I politely asked for help. The young, tall, thin driver with his hat turned backwards lit up a cigarette, crossed his arms, leaned back against the adjacent vehicle and replied, "I have to go. I don't care about your friend or his car. This is just a job for me." I really didn't expect him to help us out, but I certainly didn't expect him to respond the way he did. more

They towed my neighbors car when he was on vacation. Get this...they towed it because the car was sitting there for too long. WtF...They also towed my car because they claim I was parked in a handicap spot...but again, there was no handicap post where I was parked. I ve been trying to get in contact with the owner but I havn't received not one call.That's ok though...I'm suing. more

I had a terrible experience with the Green Machine. On one occassion I waited by my vehicle with a blow alternator for several hours as they dispacthed one the two tow trucks for me. The first never showed and the second did but seemed upset that he was sent out of his way for me. On the second event, my truck stalled and I was towed for less than three blocks and charged $75!!!! I have been towed by other companies far greater distances for far less money. They seem to have contracts all over town, but if you can use someone else. more
