Dr Yarbrough has created a healing environment 2/3/2011

I went to the clinic because I was feeling awful and my primary care physician's office transferred me around and then sent me to voicemail. I called back to learn that since I had not been to the office in 3 years (I am never sick) that I was considered a new patient... and he was not taking new patients. I was not a happy camper... Green Hills Clinic got me in to see Dr Yarbrough within 15 minutes. They took x-rays and drew blood for testing- all within minutes - right there on site. I was amazed. I was in and out within an hour. It felt like a throw back in time where you could go to a neighborhood doctor...prompt, personal, and professional care from all of the staff... a caring and concerned doctor... and all the equipment right there in one place. I had quite a lovely experience - aside from the high fever and pneumonia! My follow up with Dr. Yarbrough was just as easy... and I really like his easy going and kind bedside manner. I'm sticking with Green Hills Clinic. more

Immediately, and correctly, diagnosed a very serious issue 11/23/2010

I typically put off seeing a doctor as long as possible… Went to Green Hills Clinic on the way into work one day after I couldn’t stand being sick any longer, thinking I had a bad cold or maybe the flu, hoping for a quick shot or some medicine to get better. It was late fall/winter and nothing seemed abnormal about being a little sick. Within 20 minutes Dr. Yarbrough had run a series of tests pertaining to a vastly different, extremely serious and very urgent medical issue (one that had never once impacted me in 35 years, and that I would not in any way be an obvious target for) and immediately arranged for me to be admitted into the hospital for emergency treatment. He fully briefed specific doctors and emergency room staff prior to my arrival to ensure that I was immediately seen and properly stabilized upon showing up... And I walked into his office that day thinking I had a bad cold; I felt just fine otherwise… Dr. Yarbrough’s initial diagnosis enabled the hospital to begin running tests focused on what the problem was suspected to be (ultimately proving his initial diagnosis correct). Within an hour and a half of walking into the Green Hills Clinic, thinking I had a common virus, I was in St Thomas Hospital having CT Scans, extensive blood work, ultrasounds, EKG’s and a litany of other tests run in order to determine what was wrong with me. These minutes and hours wound up being crucial as my particular situation was very urgent and not what any patient would have ever suspected having, at my age and with my symptoms. Fortunately, the first doctor I saw knew better. While I’m well aware, and thankful, that the average patient goes to a clinic such as Green Hills with far less serious issues than I ended up having, it is refreshing to know that the next time I have to go to a doctor for what I think might be a regular cold, cut or sprained ankle that I will have access to physicians with the awareness and experience of the staff at GHC. Particularly ones that test for and rule out the not so obvious serious issues while treating what one assumes to be an every-day, minor problem. Many clinics just want to process as many patients as possible during the day on an assembly line. That's not the case at GHC. I suspect that there are a lot of doctors in similar clinics around town who would not have been as quick to diagnose my particular situation, and I am very lucky that I happened to pick the right ones. Very highly recommend Green Hills Clinic. more

Nashville's Best Medical Clinic 10/29/2010

Green Hills Clinic and Dr. Yarbrough helped save my life! My regular family doctor was out of the country and I delayed going to a clinic even though I had some serious internal bleeding. Finally, I went to the Green Hills Clinic where I promptly saw Dr. Yarbrough. He accurately diagnosed the problem I was having and called a GI specialist immediately while I was still in the office to make an appointment for the next day. Thanks to this quick action and Dr. Yarbrough's knowledge of the right specialist to call, I received timely, life-saving treatment the next day. My blood count had gotten so low that, had I not gotten to see this specialist when I did, I would most likely not be writing this review. Obvioulsly, I cannot say enough good things about the Green Hills Clinic and Dr. Yarbrough. more
