Best Detroit Casino, but still a casino 11/2/2006

The Greektown Casino is my favorite Detroit casino. First, it's located within walking distance of everything downtown and parking is easy in their massive garage (on a non-baseball game day). The Motorcity and MGM casinos are located away from downtown and not in walking distance which is a pain if you are coming from a baseball game or dinner. Greektown probably has the most slot machines and is usually the busiest. Therefore, also the best for people watching. Nestled away on the second floor, you can find the penny slots which are almost impossible to find at the other casinos. more

Greektown Casino 10/16/2006

This is a pretty good casino. I quickly lost all my money on the roulette table and was hoping for maybe some $5 blackjack or roulette tables, but couldn't find any. This casino is two levels and is attached to the wonderful Fishbones restaurant. Easy on and off from the people mover. more

Am I missing something here 3/28/2006

Last night was the first time I've ever been to any casino in my life. I was invited to A Detroit Red Wings Viewing Party in the Olive Room so this is where it took place. Its quite a site to see all the lights and the beautiful rooms. I'm glad I got to witness that I won $25.00 in playing money from attending the dinnar and here's where I get totally confused. I went down to play a couple games of keno and lost twice...than I quit. It made me angry to lose money and I'll probably never go back again. How can millions of people say this is fun??? To me it is such a waste. I enter online contests all the time and have won a lot of nice items but I am not spending a cent. Now your're talking!!! more
