5 stars is not enough for this fine establishment. Coming from Long Island, I thought I have had the best Greek cuisine, and I would blend ingredients bought from multiple restaurants to make the ultimate gyro. No need with this place. The chicken is grilled to perfection, juicy, and served alongside a garden variety of the crispest and tastiest of vegetables. The hummus should be sold by the jar! I couldn't believe something so simple could be so unforgettable, with its rich, hearty texture, and just the right balance of fresh chic peas pureed into a heavenly mixture that melts in your mouth. Not being a lamb-eater myself, I tried a piece off a friend's plate, and all I could envision when the flavor hit my mouth was being on a busy sidewalk on a Saturday night with the delicious aroma of this wafting through air, and going "I gotta have that!"...so I wait 30 minutes ready to eat in the packed line of this bustling food stand only to discover it even tasted better than it smelled. There will not be too much guesswork necessary to determine what I'll be having next time. The best part; you don't have to wait in line, it is a cozy restaurant, and the service is impeccable. Waiter, Jimmy (Ask for him!) served us, and the only way to describe him was cool as can be. For a place that has great prices, he made us feel like we were dining at one of the most exclusive restaurants around. If you want Greek food that will floor you, that will not break the bank, this is the place to be.
