Although our experience was not completely negative, I would never recommend Greco & Haines.
Our water stopped working late Saturday afternoon, and G&H did get it working that day.
Positives: Greco & Haines quoted us a per person hourly rate that was the same as the other places we called, and we figured having two technicians would make the work go more than twice as fast. They arrived within a few hours, told us we needed a new pump and new wiring and gave us an estimate ($2-3,000), and did the work. The men who did the work were pleasant, professional and cleaned up after themselves.
Negatives: We were not given an itemized receipt when the work was done, and when we did receive a bill we were charged two hours more than the workmen were here (at $100 per hour). We were told later that this undisclosed charge was for ""travel time.""
We were told to bleed the water from the tank at regular intervals, and not to run the dishwasher or washing machine until the water was clear and the air was out of the lines. Three days later the water was still not running clean, the pipes were knocking. As the days passed, we became increasingly disgusted by the fact that our water was still dirty and full of air, so we called a different well service (Professional Pump). After a week of getting the runaround from G&H, Professional Pump explained where the air was coming from, and fixed the problem immediately.
Plus, Professional Pump got us a new tank for hundreds of dollars less than G&H quoted for the same tank!
