While some of the workers are wonderful and instill education and plenty of outdoor play, other supervisors have the children in way too much during warm, sunny days. This is horrible for the children at the daycare who live in areas much too dangerous to play outside in when they arrive home in the evenings. While, some supervisors are wonderful at educating the children, other supervisors do nothing but read their magazines. Also, boys are not allowed to play together and I find this to be a problem. As an educator, I also find it unrealistic that boys can't play superheroes or any ""violent"" game. While I don't endorse violence, and this daycare is mostly middle class/white children, there are poor inner city children in the program and to them violence is a LOT scarier than some silly superhero game. Also, the way in which the children are ""raised"" is very middle class/mainstream white which doesn't work for all. Personally, keep the child home with grandma.
