Lafayette has been a great school to us. It low class sizes, especially when compared to the other Oregon schools. They also have excellent teaching programs such as survival swimming lessons for all 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades FREE OF CHARGE! The school itself is a bit in need of remodel as it was built quite some time ago, but it has been very nicely upkept...just seems a little small. Lafayette has a very large play area and sports field that is completely fenced for safety. Also has fenced and locked area for all the kids to put their bikes during school. Local neighborhood has very clearly painted large school crossings and signs to ensure safety. Overall the school ranks very high in my opinion and also on the Oregon State school report cards!!
