We bought two Scotties from Nancy and Larry over 15 years ago. They are wonderful caring people who love dogs. We have left our dogs at Great Scot once or twice a year for the last 15 years and never had a problem. Our dogs always come back healthy and happy. You couldn't trust your loved four legged friends with better people. more

This is the best place to board your dog. The owners are 2 of the nicest people I have ever met.The 1 reviewer who called them rude,she was either a competitor or had the wrong place,because these people were great. They took their time to explain everything to me,and when I dropped my dog off, they let me explain everything,from how to feed him,to how to give him his medicine,they were awesome.I would not hesitate for a second to leave my dog with them again when I travel,and I highly recommend Great Scot Kennels to you all. more

My lab loved Great Scot! Everytime we came back to pick her up, she hated to leave Larry. The kennel is clean and the animals are so well cared for. We were able to travel out west without worry knowing our dog was in great hands. We are headed west again and just booked our two new pups for their vacation! i have no reservations in recommending this kennel. more

My dogs have received excellent care at these kennels. I first began going there 15 years ago. They were just rated best kennel in the Hudson Valley by the Daily Freeman. My dogs are happy to go there and are not stressed when I pick them up. The proprietors are friendly. They are good at handling puppies as well as senior dogs. more

We boarded our 4 month old boxer at Great Scot for a three-day weekend for the first time after leaving our 19-year old there many many times over the years....Naturally we were a little anxious about leaving him for the first time but since we were traveling by train we were not able to bring him with us...The kennels are clean, each dog in his own space, smaller dogs are separated from larger, with the smaller ones in the kennel attached to the owners living quarters..The runs outside are long and clean. A great deal of attention was spent with the owners on Rockys individual needs before we left, and he was happy, healthy, bouncy, and energetic when we returned...Larry & Nancy are very attentive and caring to the pets in their care, and we would have NO HESITATION in leaving him with them again, in fact, have booked already for Thanksgiving.... more

So rude, I refused to leave my dog with them. If they are this nasty to their human customers, I wonder how they treat the dogs that stay with them. Stay away from Great Scot Kennels more
