The sandwiches here are great, nice soft bread and fresh meats, not the boring stuff like at Subway, this is the good quality stuff. Nice casual atmosphere, good service. I like to run in here to grab a quick sandwich for lunch or if you want to hang out and have a relaxing lunch on a Saturday afternoon. It's much better than some of the other chain sandwich shops around. more

Great sandwiches 6/17/2005

Great Outdoors has delicious sandwiches. They have virtually any combination of meats, cheeses, and accoutrements you can think of. The staff is only somewhat friendly, but that doesn't really matter when they're cranking out the best subs around. The only drawback is that it's rather pricey. For that reason, it's best once in a while. more

Forget those popular sub chains, this is the place to go. By far the tastiest subs I've ever tried, in a casual, hippy inspired atmosphere. Try the Invention, it's great. Also, if you buy a large drink there it comes in a plastic cup you can bring back for cheap refills. Less waste and more for your money. Oh, they have ice cream, too. more
