My kids and I love this place, the smell of the warm bread, cinnamon and spices just pulls you in off the street. When you walk in they offer you a free slice of warm bread,and butter. The different varieties keep you in. They have all different types of bread that they bake, and they give you a menu so you can get your favorite. Great for people with allergies as they can cater to your needs. Apple bread and the cheese Italian are my favs They have a great web site that talks about their breads why they are healthy, how to get a franchise and much more. This is a wonderful little chain in Oregon, they bake fresh bread daily, really healthy bread, and some sinful bread too. They hand out samples all day long and big slice of warm bread with butter. My favorite is the Apple cinnamon bread. Some of their Itailan bread w/ chesse is to die for and the perfect complete to a spagetthi dinner. But they have hundreds of breads to choose from, and they also cater meals. They recently added yummy sandwiches. more

Best Bread Bakery in Town 4/25/2006

Harvest bread company is the best around. Everything is made right in the store using only the finest ingredients. They also have posted a long list of things they do not use in their breads which is amazing because I did not know you could make bread with out some of those ingredients. The wonderful smell will make your mouth water once you enter the store and everyone I know raves about their bread. They always give you a free big sample of their bread and it is so tasty. You have to check this place out. more

I love this bakery! 10/14/2005

My husband and I used to walk downtown Salem, and loved stopping in to Great Harvest Bread Co. The fresh bread just pulled out of the oven, and the samples of all types of bread just called to us! Whenever we visit Salem, we have to pick up some specialty breads, or just plain White or Wheat from Great Harvest to have with our breakfast. Delicous, just plain delicious! more
