I have received better customer service at a McDonald's drive thru than I did today Great Expressions Dental Centers. The quality of care at their Lansing office has been appalling with the exception of the hygienists (Shanna is wonderful). I was in and out in five minutes without ever actually making eye contact or having an opportunity to speak with the dentist. The only friendly greeting I rec'd was from Shanna who was actually working with another patient, but still took a second to say hello and ask me how I was. I was never greeted by the dentist or asked if I had any questions. Then he abruptly left the exam room after having me bite down on a cotton roll leaving the dental assistant to finish attending to me. The dental assistant was beyond rude! She said, ""you're all done"" and walked out of the room and as I followed her down the hall she pointed to the door to the lobby with her back to me as she walked away. Really??? My family has been going to this practice for 5 years and this is how I am treated because I'm unhappy with the dental work and how many times I have to keep coming back for the same problem? This is just goes to show you that these dentists don't have a vested interest or care to form a trusting relationship with their patients because they don't own the practice. This is just a ""temporary"" job until I go somewhere else. There have been several dentists come and go since I've been a patient with this practice. I now see why Great Expressions isn't endorsed by the Better Business Bureau! You can add me to the list of numerous complaints that are out there on the internet.
