I totally recommend this place. It's awesome. You should definitely go there. They have sales outdoors a lot, and they have 20% off on back-issues, on Wednesdays. They have new and old comics, collectibles, VCR tapes, cassette tapes(occasionally), DVD s, records, even tea shirts. The Great Escape is cool. I definitely recommend it. more

Comics, music, & dvds. 11/10/2005

The Great Escape is located on the less crowded part of Bardstown Road. The parking is pretty bad. Hopefully, you can find a spot right in front of the building, but there are only a few spots located there. They sell and buy comics, cds, tapes, lps, computer games, and a few videos and dvds. The selection of comics is good, while the selection of music cds, lps, and tapes is not so good. The staff is friendly and love to chat. Prices are low. more

    We have two Nashville-based locations. Our Charlotte Ave. Superstore, which has 7,000 square feet of great deals, and also houses our outlet store. The Great Escape Half-Price-Or-Less Store, and our Madison location (located near Opry Mills & Rivergate Mall). We also have an online operation (TheGreatEscapeOnline.com), where you can shop for products, then have them shipped to your address, or transferred to any of our brick-and-mortar locations for pickup. (We also have locations in Bowling Green & Louisville, Kentucky).
