Hi,\r
My name is Tracy Gardner and I was sent your recent article via email from my mother. Just about a year ago, I adopted a pup online through Spicer's Save a Pet. All the transferred pups were from Alabama and would have certainly been euthanized, if not for adoptive families. Belle has turned out to be the Love of my Life and I hers. But, there is a much more important reason why I adopted her. My parents live in Fla. and I visit every winter. We take day trips and last year, one of our day trips, was to Southeastern Guide dog Services, who raise and train guide dog pups. As soon as I left there, my dream began. When I came home, I immediately started researching online, adopting an unwanted puppy. It was not very hard. You see, I am disabled from epilepsy and have a lot of time to put into training a pup to be a therapy dog. We are planning on joining Therapy Dogs International, to bring joy to others, through animal therapy. Belle is now just over a year old and VERY intelligent! I just need some direction as to whom to chose to begin smoothing out the edges through obedience classes. Because I am disabled, if there are any discounted or free classes offered anywhere, that would be greatly appreciated. I want more than anything to bring joy to sick, disabled, elderly etc people, through visits with Belle. There are a lot of steps to take to finish the training she needs, so she can be evaluated and certified. I know that she can bring as much joy to many others, as she has to me. You can email me at ftprnts@comcast or call me @292-5852. I live in Lee and any direction, support, etc would be wonderful.\r
Thank You,\r
