Granger House Museum

Dear Friends; Beware the Granger House. Check Better Business Bureau records.+ Check Small Claims Court Records.^ Check Criminal Case Records.* The Proprietor of the Granger House has a History of "Unfavorable Dealings". I paid for a week's stay. Went to the room...Saw the "quiet", "beach front studio" was barely beach-view. And within 8 feet there was a multi-story construction project; cranes, dump trucks and pile drivers included ! I didn't officially sign the guest register. I asked for my money back. I did not stay. Still, Granger House kept my $666.40 . I flagged down a Police Officer in order to file a report and get proof that I wasn't staying. The Police Report states that Ms. Granger refused to refund any money and according to the Police Officer's report, Ms. Granger became belligerent. Ms. Granger told me she wouldn't be able to re-rent the unit with such short notice, she didn't want to lose the money, so, I was to be held responsible. I have been trying to get my money back since September 07. Ironically $666....I should have expected a problem! I will gladly address any questions. Oh the many things to see and hear and experience at this house. They have tours you can take and guides show you everything. The house is very old and they manage to make it look like the day it was built. They tell you the story of the Granger family and take you back in time. You see actual family photos, not copied or printed pieces of paper. The family's clothing, pens, books, and even knee braces from a child's illness. I never knew such a historic landmark lay right around the corner. I suggest you take a tour with your children, neighbors, or even bye yourself. more
