Grandpa's Outdoors

I've lived in the Clarksville, TN area for just over 18 years. I have frequently visited Grandpas for a number of items to include hunting and even Boy Scout supplies in their Scut shop. BUT ... the past 3 times I have visited their outdoor center to send some hard earned cash on a variety of items I was greeted (or NOT greeted) 1st time: I was shopping for a game call: I had picked the item out and placed it on the counter ...20 minutes after 2 employees finished their conversation together ... I was then checked out. 2nd time: I went into grab some lighted nocks for my arrows. These items are placed behind a counter where the customer has no access. After 3 clerks passed by me at the counter I was asked if I needed anything. I stated ""If it isn't an issues I would like a package of the nocks"" I was given a roll of the eyes and handed the package. 3rd time: I went into Grandpas again for another package of lighted nock for my arrows. This time I was counting on the inconsistency of the workforce in the business, I spent a minimum of 10 minutes waiting for some customer service and again I was disappointed .... To the extent where I just left the establishment and didn't even look back. For any future or potential customers: I would take my money to CK Outfitter, Dicks Sporting Goods, Bass Pro Shop or even Walmart. At least these other shops will assist you with a purchase and not act as if you are a pain in the ass as a potential customer. THEY DO NOT CATER TO THE MILITARY AS THEY WOULD LIKE PEOPLE TO BELIEVE. Unprofessional and not user friendly!!!! If anyone feels this review is unfair please feel free to express you opinion to me so I can see things from a different perspective. I've given the store 5 years and 1000's of dollars and I only scratched the surface of the quality of customer service and incompetence. more

This store is great and the folks in there go way out of there way to help you. There is a Boy Scout Shop in there too, so when i need stuff for my Scouts i can shop for both at the same time. What a deal . more

Jacob Hill in the Gun Department was extremely knowledgeable and was able to get me exactly what I needed for my hunting trip. This is definitely a place for a serious outdoorsman as they have the best supplies and the best servicepeople. more

If you want to pay twice as much as any other store or have idiots for service then Grandpa's is the place to go. I promise you that if you look anywhere else you will find it cheaper. They are a rip off and will do anything to get more money out of you. more

I just love going to Grandpa's just to look around. This place has a little bit of everything. Most mostly it's got every little hunting or fishing gadget you might want. They have Carhartt clothing as well as other brands of work and outdoor necessities. Mostly, this place is busy right before hunting season. If you're looking for something for your little scout it has a Boy Scout alcove in the back of the store. more
