Growing up in Rochester gave me alot of oppurtunities to sample some of the best Italian cuisine there was, since alot of the people in this city were of that descent. Everything from my former girlfriend's 'mamas' cooking to the little known (in some circles) ""Rocky's"" restaurant in the Brown St. area, where the waitresses were little Italian ladies of age and experience. The food there was just great. Since then, I grew to know a place that opened in my hometown of Spencerport a couple years ago named 'Grandpa Sam's.' Instantly, from the first time I dined there, I was in love with their cooking, their friendly staff and the ""oh my god, this is wonderful' food that they serve. This is not, I repeat NOT a Romano's Macaroni Grill or anything CLOSE! This is Italian cuisine the way it should be! Truely great food from the homeland, served by a friendly staff and cooked to perfection. Since this fine dining establishment opened, myself, my family have been there so many times that we are now part of their family. If nothing else, go there for fish fry on Friday nights. The fish they serve you is incredible in it's taste, no less the size of the portion! By the way, I highly recommend you make reservations for there, unless you like to wait by the front door. This restaurant has garnered quite a following... probably half of that following by my comments to friends, family and aquaintances. Go once to Grandpa Sam's and you'll be going back... forever.. like me and mine. I love this place!!
Pros: What can you say about perfection in the culinary arts? This restaurant has it all covered
Cons: None, zip, zero, nada!!
