Great alternative in L5P 10/29/2006

I just happened to stumble upon this place around lunchtime a couple of weeks ago. I had the Hillbilly Cuban and I have to say what a great variation on the traditional Cuban sandwich these guys have come up with. Between the blackened chicken, pepper jack cheese and pepper mayo this sandwich has a great Kick! The freshly baked goods on display at the front entrance really put my diet to the test. If you are a breakfast person, they serve it all day long. I will definately be back the next time I am in the area. Pros: Good food, reasonable prices more

Best Breakfast and Desserts 10/25/2006

We really enjoy the breakfast at Grandma Lukes. The french toast is unique and delicious. The cheese grits are very creamy. I love the biscuits, and I am a very picky biscuit eater! The environment is really cool and in the heart of L5P. It is a great Saturday to eat breakfast earlier and then spend the afternoon shopping. The choco chip cookies are soft and fresh (not those giant, hard cookies a lot of places serve). The cakes are fresh - choco fudge, coconut and carrot cake are my favorites. They also make special event cakes to order. Friends of mine are having a cake made for the Florida/Georgia game! Pros: Great Location and Wonderful Food! Large Dining area in the back for big groups! Cons: Parking is tight in L5P - but there is a parking lot behind the shops where the bakery is located. more

  • In Brief
Fluffy, crisp-edged pancakes, buttery biscuits and French toast made from homemade banana and pear breads draw crowds to this cute hideaway spot in the heart of Little Five Points. A lunch menu exists, too, but most regulars sauntering in after noon still stick to the breakfast offerings that are served all day. Can't make up your mind? The breakfast BLT is a little bit of both.
