Awesome but Expensive 12/19/2005

Grandfather Mountain is an awesome place to visit. Don't miss the mile high swinging bridge. But its getting very expensive. If you live in Watauga County, December and April are $1 months where you can get in for $1. Other than that, I think its up to $14 per person. They have really good hiking trails and actually a very nice snack bar. The swinging bridge is the reason to go however! more

Where you can go to feed the bears! 7/1/2005

Our family has been visiting Grandfather Mountain every year for years now. Great hiking trails, a swinging bridge that oversees a spectacular mountain view, museum and animal habitats are just a part of the fun in store here. You can even feed the bears here, while learning more about North Carolinas resources...A must visit for family fun. more
