Grand Wailea Resort Hotel & Spa

This resort has gone so far downhill ever since new management took it over several years ago. The Front Desk staff were bored and fat out just didn't give a shit. Their adult pool, oh forget about it! Screaming kids ahoy, and all seemed to have been dumped there by their parents, never to return again. Their one saving grace is their spa, which is the most spectacular in Maui. I know, I've been to each and every single one of them! Oh, I miss their limu bath already! Psyche! I can order it online, bwahahaha!!!!!! more

If you've got kids that will enjoy an ultra fun swimming pool, then you need to visit the Grand Wailea Resort Hotel & Spa in Wailea on Maui. The swimming pool is one of the most spectacular ones that we've been to. Not only does it have two water slides and a river connecting the different pools, but it also has a "water elevator" and a "rapids" that you sit in and slide down. Don't worry, the bottom of the "rapids" is cushioned, so you won't get hurt. When we go there, my kids much rather spend the entire day in the pool, rather than visit and tour the island of Maui. Ask for Kamaaina rates during slow tourist seasons. The hotel is also a very grand hotel, complete with granite bathroom counters, and separate showers and tubs. more
