Great Place for the Theater 11/29/2005

This theater is beautiful. It reminds me of an old-style theater. The seats are good and it's small enough that you can see the stage from any seat in the house. The only complaint is that the seat rows and a little narrow and the seats themselves are a little small. Otherwise, great place to catch a play on a weekday or weekend. more

Live Theater 8/9/2005

The Grand Opera House is the oldest theater in Dubuque. Dubuque used to have 14 live theater houses, but only one is left. Beautiful architect in this building and it is worth seeing if you are into old buildings. They are currently renovating the building. New bathrooms are being added. This building was built in 1889 with opening night in 1890. more
