This daycare and there staff are superb. Our Son has attended this daycare since he was about 6 months old. He had a hearing issue and required Tubes in his ears. the staff was able to help notice his lack of hearing and insisted we have him checked out. Since we were able to to get him the care he needed preemptively, our son is not as far behind in his speech as he would have been if we waited for the doctors to act. They have taken the time to accommodate him and he is now picking up more words and more social interactions with the other kids due to the excellent staff they provide. The security is great. The cameras help with those long days at work, away from the kids, seem a little more intimate as we can watch him interact with the other kids. The Staff also has well rounded activities. I feel these crafts and lessons prepare the kids for preschool. i feel the staff has gone beyond the ""norm"" to help him in his development, and prepare him for school. more

From the content, I recognize her as a daycare employee who was fired and has tried to strike back by posting an unbelievably bad review.\r Grand aKIDemy has been in business for 7 years and the parents and children love it.\r Go visit this child development center, talk to the director, teachers, parents, and children,\r and you'll be convinced that it is a first-class daycare and preschool for your children, too. I would NOT recommend this daycare to anyone. I got lured in because of the fact that they price match, they have web cameras for the parents, the director seems very nice, etc. etc. \r First of all, the actual daycare itself, is VERY cramped, and the floors are always dirty. The webcams, DON'T work. They have one frame every 45 seconds, and on some days they don't switch, so you're stuck looking at frames of previous days. Also - most of the webcams are pointing at corners, or the floor. PS - they are hooked to the wall with bungee cords, they aren't even properly mounted! The director is a very unorganized woman, and is very easily irritable. She, on more than one occassion, has reprimanded employees in front of the children, and OFTEN, I have personally witnessed her complaining about other people, and talking VERY negatively about others IN FRONT OF THE CHILDREN. She also has a temper with the children, and yells at them to sit down, and not do things, instead of talking to them when they are doing something wrong. She has ZERO communication skills, and that's not the kind of person you want teaching your children. The daycare is VERY unorganized, and more often than not the monthly newsletters that are supposed to come out at the beginning of the month, don't get put out until mid-month. Fundraisers are usually given with a due date of less than a week, and the family the children adopted for Christmas, we were given the bulletin to bring in donations, less than two days before they were due. The nursery staff is Very good, however they can't make up for the rest of the daycare on their own. \r Overall I would suggest researching and picking a different care facility for your children. My children will SOON be moving. This daycare is NOT worth the pricematching.
