Granada false Advertising 8/21/2010

I used to like The Granada, but lately they have been advertising $12 guest list or $15 regular price. But when you get there it's $18 or $20. I will pay for something as needed, but when they falsely advertise it's a different story. I'm going to see if I can do something about that more

Great In All 3/22/2010

This is the place !!!!!!! Very good food, service and great people...Salsa dancing at its best, for beginners you won't feel intimidated Enio has that covered, as he says you teach the beginners the clave and timing so they feel comfortable without the fancy dips and drops or whatever...That can turn new salsa dancers off, it would me. Great people a mature crowd, you meet alot of interesting peeps there, in fact this is a social environment where you meet dancers, musicians, people in general. Thank you Enio for keeping Granada a respectable establishment. Pros: Great Food, Service and People more

I had a wonderful time 3/22/2010

I had been to most of the top Salsa clubs around LA and always wanted to bring my friends who were less knowledgable about the dance scene, but we always found ourself avoiding other couples on the floor due to overcrowdness and people going crazy with the space they THINK they have on the floor. I was surprized to see the no dips/drops policy they had, and even more surprized people followed it when I was dancing for about an hour at The Granada. It was a very nice sociable enviornment. Drinks were not over over priced and watered down like most hollywood places. The large spacious dance floor was the biggest draw. Angle Lebron was a great band!!! And my friends really enjoyed themselfs out on the floor and were being asked to dance left and right! Thank you to Enio for making such a great club! Pros: The Salsa club where I finally didn't get injured Cons: 15$ but worth it more

Management Response 2/2/2009

In fairness there is a big sign posted on the door NO IN AND OUTS. This is a house policy to keep people from going out to their cars and drinking or causing problems. Customers who are walking out to the parking lot to escort a female customer to her car only need to tell security and they are always let back in. Alternatively there is a patio in the back which is much quieter and accessible to people to make phone calls. more

Good and Bad 9/26/2008

Good big wooden dance floor, good live Salsa bands, $3 for a little botte of water. Very rude employees. After paying to get in, I stepped out briefly to use the phone and wait for my boyfriend. They made me pay again to get in...can you believe it? That really upset me! Owner needs to teach employees to respect clients. I might give them another chance. Pros: Great floor Cons: Dumb Employees more

Great music, great dance lessons, but bad food, and some rude, inconsiderate employees. 7/12/2008

This is a mixed review. On the positive side there is the owner, Enio Cordoba, who is very well-known, friendly, a great teacher, and good businessman. He brings in some excellent Salsa bands on Fri/Sat nights that are really worth hearing. Also, this may be the best place in LA to learn Latin club dancing.\r Classes are very popular and for good reasons. On the negative side, some of the female employees are arrogant, snobbish, and unfriendly to all who come, this includes some female teachers. The club is over-priced as is the food which is mediocre at best (greasy, unappetizing, tough meat). And, like most clubs,\r this one seems to attract its fair share of some rather unsavory, low-class, rude customers. Still, with all\r the negatives, this may be one of the best Latin clubs in LA. Convenient self-parking in structure across the street. Pros: Dance Lessons, Latin Music, and the owner, Enio Cordoba Cons: Food, some rude, inconsiderate femal employees. more

Best Salsa Place Friday & Saturday Nights! 6/29/2008

Safe, friendly and overall great atmosphere. Not to mention a huge dance floor with some of the best salsa bands. I would recommend it to a friend any time. more

May be a fun nightclub but defenitely avoid holding a reception here. 4/17/2007

My husband and I held our wedding reception here in July and it was a nightmare for not only us but our guests. The DJ was horrible, and the upstairs reception hall was NOT air-conditioned as promised. I couldn't even eat or dance, the heat was so unbearable. I perspired so much my hair and makeup were a mess. We were in no way offered an apology nor were we offered any compensation for their incompetence. Pros: Good food and the nightclub on the first floor seemed like it would be fun. Cons: Bad place to hold a reception. Took no responsibility for their AC not working for a July wedding reception! more

Friday nites 3/19/2007

This place is really cool! I have came here only three times on a Friday nite but I have tons of fun....the people there seem really nice and they have a good music mix, it's banging! It doesn't feel too crowded and the cover fee is really cheap more
