I had Amy Martinez color and cut my hair. It was the first time where I did not have another person or several getting their hair done at the same time as me. Her focus was completely on me without any distractions from another client. I told her this and she responded back letting me know her belief is to focus on one client at a time. I thought that was awesome and showed her true enjoyment as a hairstylist. The stylists I have had in the past always do someones hair while I am sitting with my color or at the same time and it makes me nervous. Amy;s salon and her staff showed that it was not about just taking my money and getting my hair done and out the door. I was not rushed at all. You could see everyone in the salon truly enjoyed each other and us as clients, I really felt important and I know know where I will be going. Pros: Amazing hair cut and color more

I had a haircut with owner Amy Martinez. Let me first say that she acted like she was just apart of her team. I had to ask her in the middle of the haircut if she was the owner. She humbly nodded. Most of the time I go into a private salon and ask for an owner to cut my hair and it turns into a disaster. They usually are arrogant and don;t listen to what or need and treat their staff horrible. This was the compete opposite a suavizar salon. Amy listened to every aspect of my needs and dislikes before she decided what we were going to do. Her staff was very involved with experience as well. I truly felt catered to. They seemed to really enjoy and like working with Amy so that made my whole experience even better. The salon really had a relaxing sort of energy and my haircut was the best ever. Amy seems to really enjoy what she does with her group and only if you asked her would you know that she was the owner. Really wonderful experience. I booked my next appointment for Amy in 8 weeks. She books out 2 months so that should show you she has a thick client base to reflect her amazing work. Truly an A plus. Pros: Awesome Haircut more

This was a disaster. The owner/stylist didn't listen to anything I said. I requested a 1/4 inch trim and instead, she lopped off several inches and not just the length but she randonmly cut into the sides. When I complained about the cut, she said it was because the cut I had before had been a bad one, however, the cut before had been from another stylists there in the salon. Cons: Completely over rated. more

this is supposed to be a 5 star salon.. ?? HA! it is a nice salon inside. however the management is so unorganized. I got my hair cut by the ""owner"" Amy Martinez and she was over 25 minutes late to my appointment. i had scheduled it for early one morning. It would be something if this was a one time thing but the appointment i had previously the same thing happened. I had a very nice young lady washing my hair for me and who also styled it out. both times someone else had to cover for Mrs. Martinez. Once styled out the owner finally showed up and i still had to wait 10 minutes for her to start. let me remind you, this haircut is $95.00. She is a good stylist but does not meet her clients needs in every aspect. Her employees were all running around for her it seemed like. They all looked unhappy and not busy. Both times getting my haircut, she seemed to be dissing this and that. i had asked her about the guy who had styled me out before at my previous appointment and she told me ""he wasn't that good and they had to let me go."" and that's just being nice. He was a great stylist to me. Her negative attitude seem to really be an issue here and she should definitely not be talking about everyone else to her clients who have only been there twice. Obviously i will not be returning nor will i be referring anyone to this salon. I have started to go to another salon with the owner cutting my hair for a little more than Amy's prices and have fallen in love with him. no negative intake and i really felt like he cared about me, like i was his number one priority. Eli has been cutting my hair for 4 years. She always listens to what i want her to do to my hair, but then again she never hesitates to offer me good advice. I'm a stay at home mom so i don't have a lot of time to do my hair with my young kids running around. Eli understands that but she always keeps me up on the trendiest but wearable styles. I didn't usually get my color done until I went to Suavizar. Nikki was recommended to me so I gave her a shot. I have dark hair so I was hesitant to do highlights, but Nikki made my color pop and gave it more depth than it has ever had. The salon is in a great location, and i loved the style and ambience. Everyone was real friendly and made sure I was truly taken care of. I could always depend of exceptional customer service as well as a fun visit with Eli and now Nikki. I LOVE this salon. Amy Martinez is an amazing talent- she has assembled an energetic, service oriented team and created a soothing, trendy setting. Amy Martinez did a consultation on my hair for extensions. She did my extensions and i felt like a new women. She is very educated and passionate about her work and her staff. She is very selective on experience and attitude at her salon and i trust that in someone doing my hair. She did a great job and was very sweet and honest on what i should do with my hair. She is the owner and has extreme intelligence on products and hair for over 13 years. I found out she also deals with Bridal clientele. She worked hard in getting the most trendy and natural hair products that makes my hair soft and fibrant. I am very excited to have this salon north of dallas for us women where we dont have to drive for excellance. more

I have been getting my haircut by Amy Martinez (the owner of Suavizar) for the last 3 years. In my experience she is the best hairdresser that I have ever had. I have never walked away with a bad haircut from her. In fact, I have LOVED every single cut she has ever given me. She is patient, friendly and extremely talented. I loved this salon! THey had the coolest and most unique product line. It is Italian and is supposed to be the what all the movies stars use. The owner of SUAVIZAR SALON IN MCKINNEY TX is AMY MARTINEZ and I highly reccomend her amazing haircuts. She also has an awesome resume. She owns a business specific to bridal and runway hair. A BRIDE TO BE HAIR ARTISTRY & COUTURE . She has trained in Beverly Hills; LA ; AND NEW YORK. I love that I don't have to drive to Dallas anymore to find an awesome hair stylist. I must say I was a bit nervous about getting hair extensions. However, this salon really knows hair types and what works to make it look the most natural. You can't tell at all I have hair extensions. I do not feel them one bit; They are lite and flow with my hair. It has completely made a difference in the way that I feel about myself. I truly got a MAKEOVER! They did my color and cut to match and I look like a totally different person. I have always wanted full hair and have never been able to get it.
