Your information is out-dated. Tin's moved out of Oakland several years ago to Walnut Creek. It's still owned by Alice and it's still excellent. more

The place rocks 10/27/2003

I've eaten chinese food all around the world and when it comes to Dim Sum, this place is head-and-shoulders above most. You can't go wrong with any of the dishes. The staff is friendly and quick. Whether it's a quickie on your lunch break or full course dinner, I highly recomend Tin's Pros: THE DIM SUM, the rest of the menu, the service Cons: parking, not open late more

Almost the best 3/1/2003

While I still prefer Ton Kiang in San Francisco, Tin's Teahouse is very good, bordering on excellent. Many of the dim sum dishes are unique, all are fresh and tasty. Highly recommended! Pros: Great for families, Reasonably priced Cons: Difficult parking more
