I have had the pleasure of dealing with George with regard to the design, construction and delivery of a new platform bed and credenza for my apartment. The experience was excellent and rather unique. Little did I know when first walking into your store that my salesman would be a talented and energetic CCNY architecture student. What luck! George was immediately attentive and insightful. I explained my needs; George professionally showed me what I watned. His designs took time; talent takes time. George drew and talked me through the process. As an attorney, I fully understand that one can go immediately to the drawing board and satisfy a client's particular needs. On the other hand, one can take time, make changes, think it through, expand the box of consideration - and create. George did just that. George suggested - strongly, I might add, and rightfully so - that I be a part of the process. With each modification to his plans, George insisted that I be informed (both in person and by email), accompanied by George's usual knowledgeable explanations. As the two pieces were being finished, George had me visit your workshop in Queens to review the work. I am more than pleased with the outcome. George was spon on with regard to the design, the dimensions, and specifications. George is proud of his work - and he should be. His ethic and his caring are to be admired. more

We have a few pieces from here, and they have a great selection. Highly practical, durable, and great looking wooden furniture. If you like that cheap, compressed wooden stuff you shouldn't go here. The prices are reasonable here, and they customize everything. They paint the furniture in all colors possible, and they shorten/lengthen anything you need. If you have a design in mind, you can explain it to them and they will make it. The wood smells fresh and great, and you can really trust what you're paying for. more

We recently went to Gothic to purchase a kitchen table. We looked around in a lot of stores and most of the tables weren't even real wood, they were veneer or something. We liked the table we found at Gothic because it's real wood more

LOVE THIS STORE! i bought furniture for my verrrrrry small apartment. they have great storage ideas eg. the 12 drawer storage bed i bought. i also loved the fact that i got to choose what color stain i wanted on my bed. everything came out gorgeous. LOVES IT. more

Ordering was easy. The people I spoke to on the phone were great. The delivery guy was the best I've ever had. Wish he delivered all my stuff. He carried up the table 3 flights of stairs, took it out of box put it together and took the box away all with a smile. THE best!! Plus I love the fold out table with the chairs inside - a must have for NYC living!! more

I bought my bed here with a good friend (and hopefully more). The captain's bed contains three drawers which is ample space for storage as storage was a major issue for me. Patrons can customize their selection of finish types and choice of headboard. Turnaround time from when order was placed to delivery is approx. two weeks. Thankfully, they deliver on weekends, which is convenient for people who work during the business week. Upon arrival, the headboard is separate which the deliver men assemble by attaching it to the bed. Their mattresses are from Sealy which is known amazing for the softness and volume. I order the Serene Sky mattress from Sealy. Unlike IKEA beds, Gothic Cabinet Craft beds do not sit low on the floor, which I am happy to be sleeping above the floor. It looks good in my bedroom as I feel my bedroom has a complete make-over. I am now able to sleep comfortably and awake with renewed spirit where I am refreshed. A new chapter in my life has begun. A phone call from Gothic Cabinet to patrons is required for a confirmation of the delivery date (as per the sales invoice's fine print) and six-hour window time either a day before or two days before the actual delivery date. My delivery window was from between 10am to 3pm, which thankfully, they arrived early at 11am, which was very prompt, as I did not have to spend my entire Saturday waiting for an eternity of their arrival. Since the frame of the bed is made of wood, the stench of the wood's finish or varnish will linger for at least five days which makes it difficult for one to obtain a good night's sleep. An open window is highly desired. I received the frame and mattress in good condition but the headboard has a stain or imperfection, which is visible to the eye. Service from the administrative office is on order for a paint touch-up. more

I just received my order, and because of all the terrible reviews I came close to canceling my order and was skeptic until the furniture arrived. Being a meticulous critic I looked at every inch and I was more than satisfied. more

I have been to various gothic cabinet furniture stores and have been pleased with what they have to offer me as far as stock items go.. the sales people are very helpful and always try to give you the very best prices. as per custom pieces long ago i bought my first house and wanted all custom furniture i went to the store on 95th street and broadway (now closed) and met a gentleman named tony. he was quite helpful and delivered over $5000 worth of maple/mahogany wall units and office furniture within a good amount of time with little to no imperfections. i followed tony to 101st and broadway and now at his new location between 85th and 86th on 2nd avenue. as soon as you step foot into the store you can see the skills this man has to offer those who are in need of custom work. basically for stock items any gothic will do. but if you want quality and perfection for custom. go to tony! more
