I used to live around the corner from the office. We brought both our Golden and Lab there and later we moved to Brooklyn and still brought them to see Dr Weiner because no other vet could compete. We later added 4 more dogs to our family and we still bring them to Dr Weiner. When our golden died our first lost in our family we brought him to the office because we did not know what to do. We later found out from his wife that he cried too after we left. Dr Weiner is like family and I can't ever think of bring my dogs anywhere else. He has seen me grow up and because of him I hope to one day work with animals as well. more

They were great. I was a new client, my cat had a problem and they stayed late to take care of him without rushing and were honestly concerned for my cat's well being and super nice. I've been going to Gotham for about 6 years. Dr. Weiner, Linda, and the entire staff at Gotham have given my dog so much love and care - they are the best!! My dog has had a number of sicknesses, and Dr. Weiner was really skilled at knowing what to do to treat him in the quickest and most pain-free way possible. When my dog had to be hospitalized, Dr. Weiner kept in touch with me and the hospital staff until he was sure my dog was better. They really have a lot of heart, and most importantly, I trust them completely and know whatever they do is in the best interest of my dog. Dr. Weiner is the kind of vet that not only cares about the animals but will go to GREAT LENGTHS to make you feel comfortable. This was also a first for me: He actually CALLED ME a couple of days after my appointment just to see how my dog was doing and to get a progress report! THE VET SHOULD BE YOUR VET!!! One of our two pugs suddenly became very ill. We called the office at 930am, and was able to schedule an emergency visit immediately. Dr. Weiner made us feel comfortable, and explained to us exactly what was happening to our dog, and how to make him better. His bedside manor was as good as any human MD I've ever seen. After trying other vets and clinics, I was really unhappy about my prospects for finding a great vet for my cat. Although the hours are minimal, this vet was great. He made me and my cat feel at ease. He gave simple honest options and recommendations at preventative care and diet. In fact a number of other vets led me to believe that certain very expensive procedures had to be done, but at Gotham I found there were other options and lots that I could do. Also, after using a different prescription this vet ordered for my cat's chronic problem, her condition has completely cleared! All the other vets told me there was nothing that can be done. I have only been to Gotham once after trying another Vet close by and had a wonderful experience with my new puppy. Dr. Weiner and his wife were not only fantastically friendly but Dr. Weiner was ready to take the time to make me and my dog feel comfortable. He listened carefully and let me ask a trillion silly questions, that he felt weren't silly at all. I definitely suggest him for any first time pet owners, as he gave me a lot of information that even I did not know after having two dogs. Dr. Weiner is the most wonderful vet, ever! We have been bringing our pets to him for over a decade. (for my whole family, that totals about 8 animals over the years). Not only does he keep up to date on the latest treatments, but he wont charge you for unnecessary treatments like some vets do. You know there is something great about a vet that has 2 dogs and 4 cats of his own! Our family now considers Dr. Weiner an old friend, because he treats us like family every time we go there.
