Even though durango is the latest victim of the invasion of trendy, over-priced, hot spot real estate, it is ""somewhat"" trying to hold on to some of it's identity- for now anyway. If you want a genuine diner experience, then this no-frills, hole in the wall spot is it. Recently- my companion & I just wanted to go where locals eat & get out of town, so we learned of one of durango's oldest dining institutions- The Durango Diner. We have been to alot of ""So-called"" diners across america, but this is the real deal. Cheap & good to eat (especially breakfast) tip: don't sit behind the cook- you will sweat & roast from the heat of the stove/ovens & this is still in the cool of the spring.
Pros: quick, cheap, good comfort food
Cons: small, no A/C, busy main street loca
